A pastor, teacher, artist, and lifelong comic fan, Ralph also volunteers with the ministry of the Christian Comic Arts Society.
Also a lifelong comics fan, Kevin works as a digital prepress troubleshooter in his day job, in addition to his work as a writer, artist, letterer and editor. He is also an active participant in the Amateur Press Association of Alpha-Omega.
New Creation Comics follows in the footsteps of our founder and friend, Donald D. Ensign (1948-2014), known by many as "The Father of Christian Comics Fandom".
"New Creation Publications" began publishing in the late 1990s as New Creation: The Newsletter of Christian Comics. It was published by Don Ensign, Ralph Miley and Kevin Yong, as a successor to Don's earlier Christian comics newsletter Valiant. New Creation soon went on to publish the standalone black-and-white Christian comic anthologies of Proverbs & Parables and New Visions, and Kevin Yong's superhero satire New Crew #1. In the mid-2000s, New Creation rebranded itself as "New Creation Now" after parnering with creators Wayne Cash and Clint Johnson, and began publishing a series of full-color Chrisitan comic anthologies in the form of Ragged Capes and the New Visions Anthology, an anthology collection of Clint's character "Faith Walker" in The Footsteps of Matthew Cross: Faith Walker Victorious, and several issues of Don Ensign's character "Golden Protector" in the black-and-white superhero series Valiant Efforts.
After a hiatus following the untimely passing of founder Don Ensign in 2014, Ralph and Kevin relaunched "New Creation Comics" with further volumes of the Ragged Capes and New Visions Anthology, as well as parnering with small press independant comic creator Larry Blake to publish his Big Book of Christian Comics anthology and a collected volume of his long-running indie comic, Psychozort.
The mission of New Creation is to use the comic book medium to communicate the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ and present a Biblical world view in our artistic endeavors. Our goal is to glorify God through our art, minister to the body of Christ, and proclaim God's love to the lost.
